How To Draw A Gumball Machine
I have always loved Gumball Machines. I don't know why, but I have always wanted one. I just think they are so much fun! While I can't justify buying a real Gumball Machine, I can certainly make my own! Check out how simple it is to make a gumball machine.
You Will Need
-
1 small terra cotta pot (with saucer base)
-
1 wooden ball or small nob (found at craft store)
-
1 round bubble bowl (found at dollar tree or walmart)
- Paint
- Decorations (ie: Glitter, tags, sequins, etc)
Directions
I took all of my parts and laid them out to make sure they all fit. The flower pot sits upside down, with the glass bowl on top. Then the saucer for the lid with the wooden ball on top.
Paint the flower pot, saucer, and wooden ball. I used acrylic paint, but you can also use spray paint.
I wanted to dress my gumball machine up a bit. After the paint dried I brushed on some white glue around the rim of the flower pot. I then sprinkled gold glitter carefully around the rim.
I found this gold sequin trim at the dollar section of Target. It was perfect to finish the edge. I just hot glued it around the rim and along the edge of the saucer topper too.
Once everything is painted, glued, glittered, and decorated you can assemble. I used a hot glue gun. It worked perfectly. I tied on this wooden mason jar tag. Not only is it adorable, but it looks like the little flap where the gum balls come out on a real machine!
Now just lift the lid and fill it with the candy of your choice! PERFECT!
This Gumball Machine can be painted and decorated to match any decor of for any holiday. Such a simple craft project with a fun result!
